Browne Bears are designed and made in our barn workshop outside a small Cumbrian village on the edge of the Lake District

I have always been interested in crafts, art and design and learnt to sew at an early age. After attending art courses, I learnt to design toys and dolls clothes. In 1993 I decided to concentrate on collectors' bears and gollies, for which I was also able to design clothes. A lifetime experience of sewing and embroidery skills, combined with design skills, has enabled me to make my own patterns to create top quality original bears for collectors.

Owing to our remote location, we never attend Bear Fairs. Instead we prefer to sell our products through specialist outlets and gift shops.

Many of my bears have been sent all over the world, including Austria, Holland, Japan and USA.

We produce short limited edition and one-of bears and gollies. They come with laminated tags and their own certificates. We are pleased to discuss your requirements for shop exclusives - designed especially for you!
